TURSUJUQ NATIONAL PARK
Inspired by the elements that characterize Tursujuq National Park, the new reception pavilion is composed and felt like an assembly of the strong elements of the landscape. Thus, the imagined atmospheres place the occupant at the center of a dialogue between the pavilion, its environment and the spirit of the place.
The articulated wooden structure recalls forests, offering a warm character to the reception area. The particular shape of the roof recalls the presence of cuestas, these inclined relief configurations, distinctive of the territory of the park.
Through its strategic orientation, the building seeks to offer its occupants framed views of the grandiose landscape that surrounds them. Its location is also designed to take advantage of natural elements such as the course of the sun and the direction of the prevailing winds. The heated slab on the floor, natural ventilation and other bioclimatic strategies provide a quality indoor climate, maximizing the comfort and experience of the occupant.
