KUURURJUAQ NATIONAL PARK
Dedicated to welcoming visitors to Kuururjuaq National Park in Quebec's Far North, the pavilion is designed to combine administrative spaces with reception and exhibition spaces, while harmonizing with the spirit of the place .
From the inside, breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes are framed and enhanced, offering moments of contemplation, appreciation of the beauty and poetry of the place. This pavilion recalls and highlights the heritage of the community and the characteristics of the northern landscape.
The building also highlights the respect of Nunavimmiut for the environment by integrating bioclimatic principles. It is intended to maintain the delicate balance of their territory and take advantage of the great forces of nature which reign in this harsh climate. Natural ventilation, optimized solar orientation and the use of renewable materials are all efforts to ensure a balance between environment and inhabitants.
