NEW CAMPUS PROPOSAL
This 50M$ project involves the new private campus of Mont-Tremblant International College in the enchanting and natural Laurentides. SVA was responsible for implementing and designing four common pavilions and two class pavilions, which have a capacity to receive 400 students, while the residence could accommodate 180 students.
Taking advantage of the extraordinary natural context and limiting the impact to the environment, SVA proposed three distinct areas according to daily activities: active area, living area, academic area.
This project optimizes the space by creating flexible and multifunctional areas (e.g. converting corridor into open classroom); and creates dynamic areas by articulating flexible spaces on several levels thanks to the hilly and wooded terrain. Taking the natural and topography condition into consideration, SVA has integrated the bioclimatic principle and has benefited from the attributes of solar orientation sites.
