 250 m2 / 2 700 ft2

Transforming this 250 m2 dwelling into a warm and comfortable secondary residence involved opening up the living space, adding a guest bedroom, and designing an interior that would maximize the amount of natural lighting.

The renovation project included tearing down certain dividing walls and removing flooring in order to open up the interior space.

The resulting spacious floor plan stretches out horizontally while also incorporating the vertical space of the high ceilings. The attic level mezzanine peers down dramatically onto the main living room three floors below and a large skylight dominates this open area, flooding the space with abundant natural light. A slow combustion fireplace separates the main living room from the smaller one, which is a more intimate space with a 2.30 m ceiling.
