MONTREAL SCIENCES CENTER

This project follows the will of the Société du Vieux-Port de Montréal to completely redesign the food fair at the Montreal Science Center to make it more attractive and functional. The space lacked dynamism and had no visual or thematic link to the Science Center.

The concept developed was that of a “laboratory”: functional, experimental, aesthetic and spotlessly clean. It is strongly based on a bi-chromatic theme combining white and red: positive and pure white, stimulating and luminous;

Red, the emblematic color of the Science Center, stimulates, energizes, and brings rhythm, warmth and movement to the recreated space.

Durability, ease of maintenance, as well as incorporating elements that could present scientific content were part of the challenge. In addition, the whole project was carried out according to the environmental objectives of maximum reuse of the existing and the use of sustainable, recycled and recyclable materials.
