GOGO LOUNGE

FAÇADE, PROCESSING AND INTERIOR UPGRADING

Client: GoGo Lounge

Montreal, QC . Canada

2008

The GOGO lounge is set up on St-Laurent Street in Montreal with the intention of offering its customers a celebration inspired by the 1960s and 70s by creating "happenings" often expressed by installations on the facade. In order to create an architectural ensemble that marks a renewal for the GOGO, the project consists of creating a facade of "pop" inspiration.

The entire body of the facade is smooth, in white fiberglass, taking up a texture frequently used in iconic objects from the 1960s.

The white background makes it possible to create street atmospheres with games of projection and lighting produced by a series of small red lights suspended above the vestibule and by a ray of light inside the rings on the facade. The formal composition is treated mainly with a showcase in the form of a circle, is also inspired by the aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s.
