PROPOSAL OF THE NEW CAMPUS
This major $ 50M project involves building a new private education campus in an enchanting and natural setting in the Laurentians in Mont-Tremblant. SVA was responsible for setting up and designing four common pavilions and two class pavilions, which have a capacity to accommodate around 400 students, while a residence that can accommodate 180 students.
Taking advantage of the exceptional quality of the natural environment, SVA proposed three distinct zones according to the activities of the day: active zone, living zone, academic zone while respecting the natural context and limiting the environmental impact.
The quality of this project is based on the maximum use of space by creating flexible multifunctional places (eg transforming the corridor into classrooms); and to create dynamic spaces that allow flexible spaces to be articulated on several levels while taking advantage of the hilly and wooded terrain. Taking into account the quality of the natural environment and bringing it into line with the topography, SVA has integrated the bioclimatic principle and has been able to take advantage of the attributes of solar orientation sites.
