FOUR SEASON EVENT PARK
The Pointe-au-Pic event park is part of a major transformation project for the sector from Le Havre to La Malbaie. Its objective is to structure the public space between the Charlevoix Museum, the future Hubert Reeves Scientific Pavilion and the Saint-Laurent. The park will become a friendly and family space with a cultural and recreational offer that changes with the seasons.
At the heart of this park, a multifunctional pavilion marrying the relief of the site is the nerve center of activities. Interface between landscape and culture, the pavilion emerges from the ground thanks to a set of levels and fenestrations.
It gives a new topographical identity to the site and creates an observation point on the impressive Saint-Laurent.
The gentle slope of the roof changes function with the seasons. In summer, it is an agora, a place to meet, broadcast or simply relax. During the winter period it becomes a sliding track. This logic of flexibility has been applied to the entire layout of the site, in order to create an event park that can vibrate throughout the year.
