SUGAR HILL

CORPORATE LODGE

Client: Private

Knowlton, QC . Canada

2000

638 m2 / 6,870 ft2

Overlooking a 43-acre estate in the Eastern Townships and covering the top of a hill with a view of Brome Lake, this 600m2 cottage is intended as a meeting and relaxation place.

An expression of classical modernity, the building has a traditional character while being modern. Uniform in its all-eastern cedar cladding, the bursting of its shape offers a multitude of different points of view.

In addition to the central building, this project includes two additional buildings: a swimming pool and a water retention basin.

Following a careful study of the site and its access, the location and orientation of the main building allow it to integrate optimally into the forest and minimize the impact on the landscape.

In addition, the integration of basic bioclimatic principles and the use of geothermal energy optimize the energy performance of the building.
