Mixed-Use Project

Located on Rue des Bassins, the new school is set to open its doors soon. In its current design, it will accommodate 12 preschool and elementary classrooms within a building ranging from two to four storeys. The project includes two playgrounds: one at ground level facing Bassin-à-Gravier Park, and another on the roof of the gymnasium. It will also feature a bicycle parking area with at least 20 spaces, but no automobile parking.

The school building will be integrated into a social housing complex, creating a mixed-use development. The Montreal School Service Centre (CSSDM) plans for certain spaces — such as the gymnasium, library, and multipurpose room — to be accessible to the public outside of school hours, reinforcing the building’s role as a community hub.
