Dedicated to welcoming visitors to Kuururjuaq National Park in Northern Québec, the pavilion was designed to combine administrative areas with reception and exhibition spaces, while remaining in harmony with the spirit of the place.

From inside, breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes are framed and highlighted, offering moments of contemplation and appreciation of the site’s beauty and poetry. The pavilion recalls and celebrates the community’s heritage as well as the defining features of the northern landscape.

The building also reflects the Nunavimmiut’s respect for the environment by integrating bioclimatic principles. It is intended to preserve the delicate balance of their territory while harnessing the great forces of nature that dominate this harsh climate. Natural ventilation, optimized solar orientation, and the use of renewable materials are all strategies implemented to ensure a balance between the environment and its inhabitants.
