Smith Vigeant was commissioned, in consortium with Aedifica and Beaupré Michaud, for the major rehabilitation project of the FACE School.

Located in a historic building in downtown Montréal, FACE is a unique institution in Québec offering a Fine Arts Core Education program that allows students—from kindergarten to secondary five—to explore four artistic disciplines: visual arts, drama, music (both vocal and instrumental), and dance (at the secondary level).

The challenge lies in rehabilitating an exceptional, emblematic building of great heritage value, while upgrading it to meet modern functional standards and the specific requirements of its distinctive program.

The rehabilitation encompasses all components of the building, including the functional redesign of both interior and exterior spaces.
