One of the many offices of this international video game company is located in a repurposed industrial complex in the heart of Montréal’s Mile-End district.
This interior design project, covering a total area of 56,300 sq. ft. over two floors, was the result of close collaboration between Ubisoft’s internal design team and the architects. The goal was to develop original ideas that best reflected the video game developer’s values, brand identity, and desired work atmosphere.
The project’s inspiration was that of a “biophilic laboratory,” focusing on redefining spaces and enhancing collaboration through both formal and informal environments.
The notion of movement permeates the entire design. Special attention was given to circulation areas such as corridors and stairways, creating a dynamic experience through the interplay of light and color.
Each corner of this open workspace was given a distinct identity, defined by its function, color, and vegetation. The aim was to provide employees with a unique environment that fosters collaboration and creativity, while maximizing multifunctional spaces and striking a balance between well-being, work, and relaxation.
