The transformation project involves expanding and redeveloping Paul-Chagnon Elementary School, located in Saint-Hubert on Montréal’s South Shore, into a facility with 6 preschool classes and 16 elementary classes.
The 2,550 m² of new construction include 6 regular classrooms, 2 specialized classrooms, a learning hub, an administrative sector, and a double gymnasium with support spaces.

The redevelopment of the existing building includes the interior reorganization of the ground floor, the addition of a ventilation system, and the complete redesign of the outdoor spaces.

A minimalist and luminous architectural signature was developed for this school project. A blue canopy highlights the new main entrance and guides students toward the locker areas on the ground floor.

A new central circulation staircase, crowned by a skylight, unfolds as a pivot point at the junction between the existing structure and the new extension.
