The 88-unit residential building comprises four storeys and offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The units were designed to accommodate families and facilitate access to housing.

The building was constructed using prefabricated components, requiring close and highly detailed coordination with the engineers and manufacturer.

Site planning presented significant challenges, as the property borders a linear park and a cycling path highly valued by local residents, while also facing a childcare centre. Stéphane proposed a U-shaped configuration along the linear park, allowing for a more articulated treatment of the side façade facing the promenade. In addition, setting the building back from the property line created a landscaped buffer and increased vegetation on the site. Openings along the façade further contribute to the animation and connection with the adjacent public realm.

To reduce the perceived mass of the building, the façades are articulated through variations in the composition and arrangement of exterior cladding materials.

The site was originally occupied by a deteriorated community facility. Stéphane coordinated its demolition, including the consultation process with local residents’ committees.
