Located at the intersection of Murray and William Streets, in the heart of Montréal’s Griffintown district, this 8-storey mixed-use project is part of a rapidly evolving urban fabric where industrial heritage and contemporary densification coexist. With a height of 28.4 metres and a density of 4.7, the building optimizes site occupancy (69.5%) while maintaining a balance through landscaped areas representing 24% of the site.
The building’s podium, fully glazed and highly permeable, accommodates street-level commercial spaces (6,023 sq. ft.) as well as a multipurpose room (1,389 sq. ft.), contributing to the animation of the public realm and the vitality of the neighborhood. This transparent ground floor establishes both visual and functional continuity with the urban environment, strengthening the relationship between private and collective uses.
The upper floors, dedicated to 70 residential units distributed over seven levels, develop a refined and elegant massing articulated through a series of setbacks and projections. Continuous balconies and terraces animate the façade while providing high-quality outdoor extensions for the units. The architectural language emphasizes a light and contemporary material palette, enhancing natural light and views toward the city.
The project also incorporates a sustainable mobility strategy, with 55 parking spaces for cars and 57 bicycle spaces, encouraging active modes of transportation. Landscape design, including an accessible terrace and vegetated areas, contributes to the quality of life for residents and to the building’s integration within its environment.
Through its architectural composition, programmatic mix, and careful attention to the public realm, this project actively contributes to the consolidation of Griffintown’s urban fabric, offering a dense, vibrant, and contemporary living environment rooted in Montréal’s evolving dynamics.
